Last week, we had the opportunity to celebrate an incredible Teacher Appreciation Week at Pinecrest Academy of Northern Nevada!
We want to give a huge thank you to our amazing teachers and staff for the care, dedication, patience, and heart they pour into our students each and every day. Your impact goes far beyond the classroom, and we are so grateful for all that you do for our school community.
We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful community members and organizations who helped make the week so special for our staff. Thank you to Andelin Family Farm for providing lunch, our PTO for hosting Muffins with Mom, providing Keva Juice, and delivering beautiful flowers to our staff. Thank you to Life Church for donuts, our Staff Success Committee for the Twisted Sugar cookies, and the Pink Sugar Espresso coffee truck for keeping everyone caffeinated!
We wrapped up the week with a beach-themed Zen Zone and personalized goodie bags for every teacher. It was a week full of appreciation, kindness, and community support, and we are incredibly thankful for everyone who helped celebrate our staff!

Happy National Nurses Day to our incredible school nurse, Danielle Rathburn!

Danielle brings so much care, calm, and compassion to our campus every single day. Whether she’s helping students feel better, supporting families, or jumping in wherever she’s needed, she does it all with kindness and heart. We are so grateful for the way she looks after our school community and keeps our Rams safe and healthy.

Thank you, Danielle, for everything you do. We appreciate you more than you know!

Happy Earth Day! At Pinecrest we celebrate our students work as they are learning about sustainability, food production, and the importance of caring for our environment.
In Agricultural Science, students have been learning about plant anatomy and physiology. Students have applied this knowledge by planting vegetable seedlings and are currently monitoring their growth. We also have herbs growing in our hydroponic system, allowing students to explore different methods of plant production. As the plants continue to develop, students will transplant them into our outdoor greenhouse. Celebrate and go outside today!!
