Nighthawk Families, we are so thankful for your patience, we understand as summer nears, you need to plan for the beginning of the next school year! Our website is being updated to have all the supply lists, and we've attached them here as well. On August 4th, you can login in to your parent portal and find your child's teacher, and we will have our Meet and Greet on the playground to meet your child's teacher, scheduled for August 7 from 9-10 a.m. For incoming Kindergarten families, please read the information regarding your meet and greet times, this will be different than Pre-K, 1-5th. Hello Bohach Families! Although there is still plenty of summer left, we wanted to share a great event and opportunity to pick up some back to school supplies! We can’t wait to see you in August!

The Christmas in July is designed to bring some holiday magic to summer break while we help local students start the school year with confidence.

Christmas in July Backpack Giveaway & Carnival
Saturday, July 25
10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows

This event is FREE to attend and all school-aged children are welcome.

Families will enjoy free backpacks filled with school supplies and hygiene items, toys and giveaways, free lunch, carnival games and activities, meet local first responders and special teams, community resources, and free back-to-school services including haircuts, vaccinations, and health screenings!

🎉 Happy Last Day of School, Bohach Families! 🎉

What an incredible way to wrap up another amazing school year! Today, we were fortunate to have our law enforcement partners on campus helping us send our students off for a fun, safe, and well-deserved summer break. Their presence is a reminder of the strong relationships and support our school community enjoys throughout the year.

This year’s farewell was especially meaningful as we celebrated a milestone for our school. We proudly sent off our first group of legacy students—the students who have been with us since Kindergarten when John C. Bohach Elementary School opened its doors in 2020. Watching these students grow from our very first kindergarten class into confident, capable young leaders has been a privilege for our staff and school community.

To our students, families, staff, and community partners: thank you for making this school year one filled with learning, growth, friendships, and memories. We wish everyone a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable summer, and we look forward to welcoming our students back in the fall!

After a thorough investigation, it has been determined that these staff members were not reviewing lesson plans, answering emails, or organizing paperwork…

They were busy reliving spirit weeks, laughing at questionable hairstyles, searching for their own pictures, and saying:

👉 “Wait… who signed your yearbook?”

Today, our Bohach Elementary Student Leadership students had the incredible opportunity to tour the Reno Police Department and see leadership in action firsthand!

Students learned about teamwork, responsibility, service, and the many ways officers work together to support and protect our community. From exploring the department to hearing directly from officers about what it means to lead with integrity and purpose, this was truly an unforgettable experience.

We are so grateful to the Reno Police Department for welcoming our students and inspiring the next generation of leaders!
