Bragadocious alert! Last month I had the opportunity to work with Connie Wray and Nathan Digangi doing some behind-the-scenes work for the virtual portion of a hybrid fundraiser for Northern Nevada Nurses of Achievement. These hybrid events are amazing for non-profits like Nurses of Achievement. Not only can you have a live silent auction at the event, but also donations and bids can be made virtually as well.

This is a photo I took of Frida Kahlo's boot back in 2016 when I visited La Casa Azul, her house now transformed into a museum in Mexico City.

This boot says so much about Frida. How she managed to live a full life despite immense pain and adversity. Though the boot is fashioned to serve a medical purpose (the extra lift to help her walk with legs uneven in length), it still models her artful, creative spirit, a spirit that refused to be crushed by pain.

This boot for me represents Frida's assertiveness, her authenticity and unwillingness to let anything stand in her way.

May you step, rather stomp, into this new year with the same fervor and fire of Frida Kahlo's boot!

Here are my social media goals for 2023:

1. Speak the truth- we are all trying to figure this thing out called life on a daily basis. Nobody's got time for B.S.! So I plan to keep telling it like it is.

2. Post more consistently- even I, the social media maven that I am, struggle with the never-ending churn that is social media content. Gonna try to keep on keeping on.

3. More video. You'd think my ham-it-up stage hog self would have no problem with this one. Wrong!

What are some of your social media marketing goals for 2023?

This scene makes my heart smile. This was the scene after John Strom of SCORE Mentors and I had finished our presentation on "Social Media Options for Business". Despite it being 7 pm on a Wednesday, people didn't want to leave! What started out as a group of total strangers, ended as a community of folks buzzing about their businesses. This is why I love what I do! ❤❤❤
