What does the ideal East Middle scholar look like?
Today during our faculty meeting, our staff came together to answer that question, not just by identifying the traits we want to see in our students, but by asking an equally important question:
What will WE do to intentionally cultivate those traits?
Because becoming confident, curious, resilient, responsible, and compassionate doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when the adults in a building are aligned, intentional, and committed to creating the conditions where those qualities can grow.
It was powerful to see our staff come together around a shared vision of who we want our East Middle scholars to become and the role each of us plays in helping them get there.
We aren’t just teaching students. We’re helping shape who they become.
