What an amazing example! Thank you for the reminder, Corinne Crabtree.
Mom guilt gets us all.
Where can you let go and just be present in your day today? ♥️
My eyes welled up as I was at breakfast with Logan and Chris.
It dawned on me that I was enjoying my time with them. I wasn't doing the talking...they were. Rambling on about business ethics and sales psychology.
What brought tears to my eyes was the revelation that my life is NOT balanced. I don't spend half my time at work and half my time with family.
But I FEEL balanced.
Because in moments like these, on a rainy Saturday morning, I didn't think about what I should be doing. I just sat there with my hand on Chris' back appreciating where I was and realizing how special our little family is.
I didn't need X amount of hours to declare my life was balanced. I needed that little moment in time to be noticed and felt by me. That moment felt special, even if it was nothing remarkable to see on the outside.
I wonder how often we seek balance so hard that we miss the moments right in front of our eyes. I can't tell you how often I've been with Logan thinking about how I'm not a good mom. Or times Chris has told me he loves me and I've thought, "he's just saying that."
Before we seek more "time" to get balance in our lives, let's first make sure we're not missing what's under our noses.
What makes you feel like you have more balance in life?
