Power Strategy: Self-powered microgrid, natural gas, and clean fuel-cell technology rather than heavy reliance on municipal grids

Design/Cooling: Closed-loop cooling infrastructure aimed at minimizing water usage and noise

LDS Spanish Fork Temple rendering released.

FACT #1
The Spanish Fork Temple will be a multistory building of approximately 80,000 square feet. It will stand on an 8.7-acre site at the corner of 100 South and 2550 East in Spanish Fork, Utah. Also planned for the grounds is an accompanying ancillary building.

FACT #2
This was the 32nd Latter-day Saint temple announced in Utah and the ninth in Utah County.

FACT #3
The closest temple to Spanish Fork at the time of its announcement was the Payson Utah Temple.

FACT #4
It was announced exactly 148 years — to the day — after Utah’s first Temple was dedicated in St. George.

FACT #5
The Spanish Fork Utah Temple was the last temple that Church President Russell M. Nelson announced before his death in September 2025.

Freedom 250 FLY OVER ✈️ JULY 4th

U.S. Air Reserve’s 419th Fighter Wing and Team Hill Air Force Base, will be joined for part of the route by the Utah Air National Guard’s 151st Wing.

The flyover path will see F-35A Lightning II Aircraft joined by a KC-135 Stratotranker from the 151st Wing join over select communities.

Governor Spencer Cox declared a state of emergency Thursday that prohibits all fireworks through July 5 as Utah deals with ongoing extreme wildfire danger.

The temporary order allows the state to prohibit fireworks statewide throughout the upcoming Independence Day holiday, but allows local communities to designate special areas where fireworks can be used in a safe way.

In addition to the state of emergency, 𝙐𝙩𝙖𝙝 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙢𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙜𝙚 2 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙖𝙩 𝙢𝙞𝙙𝙣𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙎𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙙𝙖𝙮, 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙣𝙤 𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙣 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚 𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙙 𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙡 𝙛𝙪𝙧𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚.

Cities are also blocked from enacting total bans on igniting personal fireworks, except for communities that are entirely in a wildland urban interface — meaning they are at the highest risk of fire danger.

During the current fire season, Utah has recorded 353 wildfires that have burned a total of 141,000 acres. One of the largest fires, the Iron Fire in Juab County, is still burning at over 30,000 acres.
