We were lucky enough to have a parent, Mr. Workman, come in this last week and show us a real suit of armor! He used it when participating in an armored combat league, and he brought his squire (Mrs. Workman) to help him as he put all the pieces on and talked about them. We are learning about the Middle Ages, so this was a perfect opportunity - the kids loved it!

We have some animal scientists in the making!!! Could you be a herpetologist? Do you know what makes an animal a vertebrate or invertebrate? If you’re not sure, find a Canyon 3rd grader and ask, they’re full of animal knowledge. As we conclude our animal unit we ventured out to put our skills to use. We walked up Provo canyon looking for all the living things we could find. After, we visited the BYU Bean Museum and enjoyed an animal presentation. We ended our day by walking around and viewing, up close, all the animals they have on display. It’s great to be a 3rd grader 😀
