This week we were in downtown Birmingham for some passenger vehicle safety training! Its a beautiful town, but definitely presents some challenges for the drivers! I am glad we were able to share some safety techniques to better equip these drivers to handle the melee!

Whoa! Thanks for the shout out and the air time. However, PDS is strictly for employers for the benefit of their employees, so we unfortunately won't be of any help to the displaced NMU students.

We think you meant to talk about CDL and Operator Training! They are located in Spalding, offer in-person training for all and will definitely be a great resource for these students. They even offer evening and weekend programs that are designed for high schoolers, working individuals, and even students going to college.

We are sure it was an honest mistake. But we do appreciate the air time! And if students are looking for more information and if they give us a call, we can definitely point them in the right direction!

While we provide training strictly for employers for the benefit of their business, there are options for those who aren't working with an employer. CDL and Operator Training provides open enrollment classes. Gogebic Community College also offers open enrollment classes. Check out their website below to see what they offer too.

GCC offers training in a variety of vehicles including sleeper cabs, a day cab, logging loader rail trailer, dry van trailer and both manual and automated shifting transmissions.

We would just like to clear the air about the sad news with the NMU CDL training discontinuing. TV6 posted a news reel that Midwest is the only CDL provider in the UP without doing their research... CDL and Operator Training and Professional Driver Services has been in Spalding Mi. for 3 years and we are still open and classes are still filling up.. We offer 3 week classes and weekends and after hours to accommodate students and people with daily jobs that would make it impossible to do a three week straight class. A great week of training is in the books with the Michigan DNR Fisheries Division! Petosky is a beautiful area to visit and it's always a treat to visit the big fish ponds! And two passes at the end of an intense training week is always icing on the cake! Congrats to the new fish stocking crew members!

Had a great 2 weeks training 4 class A CDL drivers for Northern Nursery in Newberry, Mi. They are all on their way to becoming truck drivers in no time.😎🤘💯 Be safe and see you guys and gal on the road soon.

Up in Newberry this week and next week training 4 Class A CDL drivers. Classroom and range this week and some next week and then on the road next week to prepare them for their state tests.😎🤘 All 4 are doing great💯👌
