It was a special morning at our Scholars Breakfast Awards as we welcomed back some familiar faces from our Maverick family!

We loved seeing Rebeca Rowe ’10 celebrating alongside her son, as well as Sean and Christina Wiborg ’03, two Maverick sweethearts, celebrating with their son!

There’s nothing more special than seeing our alumni return to campus as proud parents and continue the Maverick tradition with the next generation!

Congratulations to Nadia Colon from the Class of 2020 on her engagement! We are so happy for you. 💍

Congratulations to McCarthy alumna Nikki Tejeda ’08, who turned her passion for technology into her own business!

In June 2024, Nikki and her best friend, Raul, launched RNIT, an IT company specializing in technology services for Catholic K–12 schools throughout the Archdiocese of Miami.

From classroom technology and student devices to cybersecurity, networking, and hands-on IT support, RNIT helps schools across South Florida stay connected and running smoothly so teachers and students can focus on what matters most! We love seeing our Maverick alumni making an impact in our local community.

Congratulations to Noelle Staiano ’10, who was recently featured in PEOPLE Magazine for her fun and colorful approach to teaching kindergarten! 🍎✨

Now in her 11th year of teaching, Noelle is known for her bright classroom style, creative activities and a special tradition where her students decorate a dress she wears on the last day of school.

We’re so proud to see a fellow Maverick making an impact in the classroom and being recognized by PEOPLE! Congratulations, Noelle!

McCarthy alumnus Alex Guzman stopped by campus today with his daughter to say hello to some familiar faces and introduce the next generation of the Guzman family to her future Maverick family!

Of course, we couldn’t let her leave without her very first Future Maverick shirt. 🥹

Maverick pride runs in the family—Alex’s wife, Amanda, is also a McCarthy alum! They are the owner of ElBar Miami, one of the incredible local businesses featured at our Taste of McCarthy.

We always love welcoming our alumni back home, especially when they bring along a future Maverick. We can’t wait to see this little one walking these halls someday! 💙
