🌿📝 Exciting news from Pemetic Elementary School Our 3rd-grade students are embracing the great outdoors today as they head out into nature with their teacher, Mrs. Raven, and local artist, Erika Rosso, for a special journaling session. 🎨✨

But that's not all – their journal covers are truly one-of-a-kind! Thanks to the innovative OMTech Polar desktop laser cutter/engraver, generously provided through the Maine Department of Education’s grant, students were able to bring their creative visions to life. 🖥️🎨

Using Scratch Jr. coding software on their iPads, our young artists designed unique artwork for their covers. These designs were then translated into files for the Polar, which meticulously engraved and cut 3mm plywood to perfection. 🖌️📚

Now, armed with their custom-made journals filled with heavy cardstock lined paper and watercolor paper, our students are ready to unleash their creativity through beautiful watercolor paintings and heartfelt journal entries. 🌟

A huge thank you to Mrs. Raven for spearheading this wonderful project and to Erika Rosso for her invaluable contribution. Together, we're making learning an unforgettable adventure! 🌳🎨

We are starting to work on the development of our new website (it is still quite a few months away though). As part of that development, we are shutting down the page and will be posting needed items directly on our website due to various problems with properly viewing the Facebook feed.

iPad Parent Night is Monday 9/21/2015 at 6:30pm in the Music Room.

Emails have been sent to students and parents, but this is just a reminder.

Every 7th grade student is expect to be there with a guardian. We will go over some information about the iPads and the MLTI program, sign some paperwork, and I will answer questions.
