Hello all my old classmates from 1980!
Am reaching out today to the 25 people on the email list I have and on f/bfor a couple reasons. First is to ask if as a class you would be interested in having the name "SHS Class of 1980" permanently displayed on an engraved 16x16 brick as part of a permanent brick chessboard being installed on the school elementary playground. This project is being run by the new non-profit Southold School Educational Foundation of which I am a founding member. www.southoldef.org The bricks are $250.00
If you are interested in being part of a Class Brick - please let me know ASAP and how much you can contribute. If we all kicked in about $10.00 we could memorialize our class! Please feel free to pass this email /share on to anyone else in our class that you don't see on the list. You can mail checks to SSEF PO Box 4, Southold, attn Judi if you want to participate.
On another note, I think we are celebrating our 35th year out of HS. Funny, but I don't feel that old!!! Not sure we have anyone with the energy to put together a formal reunion but maybe something informal during the summer! Some of us still live locally and would love to see you out of towners! So if anyone is planning a visit to the area, let us know when! For locals, maybe we can pick a date and get together at a beach or something like old times!

Regretfully some sad news has been posted on facebook. Deb Cain is currently on hospice and even though she is from the class of 77 all of us know her & her family, and the reason for the post on this page. Please keep her and her family in your thoughts, prayers & positive thoughts for strength to get her through this difficult time.

Hey everyone our class turns 50 and there is a 50th Birthday Bash in the works Sat. Nov 24th 6pm til....@ Four Doors I think this is going to be a blast. DJ Phil... drink specials...food... thinking either $5 or $10 per person to off set the costs (what do you think ?)
