Anna Popp founded Popp Education Services and Advocacy in 2017 with a mission to ensure that students with disabilities receive the support and educational services to which they are entitled. Through her training, Anna has gained an in-depth understanding of the laws that protect students with disabilities and their parents, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act. Anna has also completed Wright’s Law Training and an attorney-supervised practicum. She continues her education by being mentored by special education attorneys and attending various professional conferences focused on special education law and individual disabilities.

Anna is dedicated to teaching others what she has learned through her training and personal and professional experiences. She creates and conducts customized curricula and advocacy workshops. Additionally, she serves on the North Texas Chapter of Children and Adults with Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD) board.

As a mother of two children with learning challenges, Anna brings a deeply personal perspective to her work. Having successfully guided her children through elementary school, high school, and college, she understands the complexities of the education system and is committed to helping other families do the same.

Dear CHADD Members,

We have some exciting news to share! After careful consideration, we've decided to transition our online support groups to in-person meetings held within the North Texas community over the next few months.

This change allows us to create a more dynamic and interactive support experience. Connecting face-to-face can foster a stronger sense of community and shared understanding among individuals navigating ADHD.

What this means:
Our online support groups will be temporarily put on hold. We will be hosting in-person meetings at various locations throughout North Texas.
We'll provide detailed information about meeting dates, times, and locations very soon.

Benefits of In-Person Support:
Enhanced Connection: Build stronger relationships and share experiences in a more personal setting.
Interactive Support: Participate in discussions and activities that can be more engaging in person.
Local Resources: Gain access to local resources and connect with community support networks.
We understand that some may prefer online groups. We are committed to finding alternative options in the future but believe this in-person format will be incredibly beneficial for many.

Stay Updated:
Keep an eye on your inbox and our website https://www.chadd.net/chapter/80n
and page for upcoming announcements about in-person support group meetings. We'll be sharing details about locations, dates, and times very soon!

In the meantime, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at 214-210-3229 or [email protected].

Thank you for your continued support!

Sincerely,

The CHADD North Texas Board
