Fourth grade graduation week has been so sweet. 💚

At Graduation, each of our 4th graders received their own copy of Wonder, signed by the teachers and staff who have loved, taught, encouraged, and cheered them on during their time at Johnson. Today we celebrated together with a Wonder movie party and special snacks from our amazing PTO before wrapping up the day with our annual Nukem competition… where the teachers absolutely crushed the students. 😎

These last few days have been such a joy as we celebrate this incredible group of kids. Tomorrow we clap them out with hearts that are so full — and just a little bit bittersweet. Once a Dragon, always a Dragon. 🐉

Field Day Vibes ☀️

Our 4th graders had a fun morning going to Durham Intermediate for a campus tour. They practiced reading a schedule and changing classes, learned all about lockers, and connected with student ambassadors. We will miss them, but they are excited and ready for this next chapter full of opportunities waiting for them at Durham!

Today, we welcomed back our JES seniors for one last walk through the halls where it all began. From the first day of Kindergarten to graduation day, we are so proud of the amazing young adults you’ve become.

Thank you for coming back to visit your old stomping grounds — we loved seeing your familiar faces back at JES. Once a Dragon, always a Dragon!

Our incredible Dads Club was up bright and early mixing, pouring, and flipping pancakes for 275 hungry (and very happy!) 3rd and 4th grade Dragons. What a fun way to celebrate our students for giving their absolute best on STAAR!

We are so proud of their hard work—and even more excited to welcome May and the official slide into summer! ☀️💚
