T3 Therapy: Is It Helping or Hurting?
T3 thyroid hormone can help restore energy and metabolism—but it doesn’t always work as expected.
On this week’s Goodself Live, I’m sharing:
✔️ Why some patients feel worse on T3
✔️ How timing, stress, and nutrient imbalances affect results
✔️ What to do when labs say “normal” but you still feel terrible

Ever wonder how your blood sugar responds to your meals, workouts, or stress?
A CGM (continuous glucose monitor) gives you real-time insights into how your body processes glucose and how you can fix the patterns keeping you stuck.
This Tuesday at 12:30PM CT I’m going live on Goodself to explain:
> What a CGM can tell you that labs can’t
> How blood sugar spikes and dips affect your energy, cravings, and weight
> Why I use CGMs even in patients without diabetes

Hi Everyone. I am moving away from allergy towards my true passion which is Thyroid balancing and management for folks with "Hidden" hypothyroidism. We will still be running the New Endocrinology course, but will be adding more patient facing content for thyroid sufferers, perimenopause, and insulin resistant patients. Stay tuned!

We're starting tomorrow night! The Course that changed my medical practice goes Live again Sunday April 6 at 6 pm Central. Announcement and signup link (FREE) in the comments.
I remember exactly where I was when I heard the lecture that changed my life - in the Pecos Meeting room at the Ga***rd Texan Resort. The presenter at this medical conference listed out all the hypothyroid symptoms: constipation, loss of eyebrow hair, low heart rate, wanting to sleep all the time, and the rest. And then he mentioned that taking combined T4/T3 fixed all of that, even when the TSH is normal. At the time I did not care that he didn’t know WHY! He had just described me, in every detail, and I was eager to try what he had recommended. And it worked! Every major symptom I had either improved or disappeared. So began my search for the answers to ”why”.
While I was learning, I started seeing people with symptoms like me everywhere, particularly in my ENT clinic. When I would treat them, their chronic sinusitis would often just disappear, not to mention the other symptoms. And every one of them said “my doctor suspected thyroid but my tests were fine”.
That was 20 years ago. Now I want every physician to learn this, so that you can give your patients a better answer than “your labs are fine”.
Come join me for a Free 2 part masterclass where I’ll share what I have learned. I call it “When Normal TSH isn’t normal”.
We start at 6 central on May 21, invitation is in the comments.
The first day:
You’ll learn how to recognize the 3 patterns in hypothyroidism and how to be sure of yourself when testing.
You’ll learn why TSH and T4 isn’t the best test plan for many thyroid disorders.
You’ll learn the 5 inexpensive tests I use each time I test my patients and why they are all important to get the most accurate results.
You’ll learn how to start a patient on the right dose of thyroid medicine without causing T3 “spikes”, and how to adjust until they feel better.
The second day:
You’ll learn how to treat someone who has “subclinical hypothyroidism” so that they actually get symptom relief.
You’ll learn why splitting up the thyroid dose is so important.
You’ll learn how to fix someone who has been given Levothyroxine and doesn’t feel better.
And finally, we’ll touch briefly on some other hormone imbalances that coexist with hypothyroidism, and how they interact.

I meet a lot of people trying to move the needle on women's health!
From my friend Rachel Rubin:
I hear so many stories of women not getting the right care and advice. Turns out even celebrities and influencers are not getting evidence based options presented to them.
So many people are needlessly suffering.
(At a recent event I attended,) there was no shortage of beautiful people, botox treatments, high fashion...but when I asked (and I asked everyone) I heard about hot flashes, crappy sleep, anxiety, and s*xual dysfunction.
This has gotten me thinking a lot about self care and what it actually means.
Especially since I turn 40 next month and realize that I've only just started understanding this.
What if instead of massages and manicures, self care looked like people investing in their bodies.
Investing in...
eating healthy food
strength training
mental health
building relationships
and of course - s*xual health
We all deserve this!

Why oh why is mainstream media not talking about this? UHC is gradually taking over all the private medical groups, and now able to do it at an accelerated rate, due to their own collections company's ineptitude causing practices to go bankrupt? Or is it, in fact, a conspiracy?
Do you really want your insurance company controlling every aspect of what your doctor can and cannot do for you?

So I will be on Facebook Live tonight...Twice! f
First on my page, my usual 5:50 Live (central time) where I am going to be doing Part 3 of a 4 part series. I will be speaking about lowering Cortisol, and preventing metabolic diseases through lifestyle changes you can do without a physician's help!
The second Live will be at 6:30 with the amazing Tolulope Olabintan on her page at Livingspring Family Medical Center. We are going to talk all things indigestion. Our particular focus is going to be what can be done without medicines, and why would you even bother when medicines seem to be such an easy fix.
