Leading Ladies Leading Ladies of Southington was founded in 1999. Leading Ladies celebrates women in our community who are making a difference.

How will you be celebrating your International Women's Day? Perhaps you'll find a way to recognize a local woman in our community for the good she does. Or maybe you'll help to raise funds for a women's charity.

When life is too crazy and those options are out of reach, how about simply reaching out to a woman who has had an impact on your life. It could be a relative, a friend, a teacher or mentor, a co-worker – anyone who’s inspired you or is setting a positive example for other women.

However you choose, the Leading Ladies are wishing you a Happy International Women's Day!

We owe a debt of gratitude to all of the amazing pioneering women who came before us! Without them, we would not be where we are today.

The Leading Ladies Immediate Response Grant funds all kinds of needs for Southington women and girls. Requests for grants are submitted through an agency in town and are approved by a committee of Leading Ladies.

It has been said, there is no greater gift in life than our loved ones. To a mother, her children mean the world to her. Losing one can be a worst nightmare realized and feel like the natural order of things has been upturned. In times like these, the last thing one wants to worry about is being unable to financially endure laying rest to your child. The Leading Ladies Immediate Response Grant was able to assist a Southington senior woman on a fixed income with a $250 grant to offset the costs associated with the cremation of her daughter. Because of your support and generosity, the Leading Ladies were able to help this woman in her time of need. Thank you for your kindness.
