Sometimes, a little extra support can change everything.

A young single mother dreamed of providing more opportunities for her child—but quality preschool and a better home felt out of reach.

Thanks to United Way of Southington's investment in our partner agency, the Margaret C. Griffin Child Development Center, reduced tuition made high-quality early education possible. That financial relief also helped the family take an incredible next step: moving into a larger apartment with more space, a backyard, and a bedroom for each of them.

When families have the support they need, children thrive, parents can build brighter futures, and our entire community grows stronger.

Wow! Teacher Appreciation Week 2026 was amazing! We truly felt all the love and appreciation with our favorite snacks, drinks, coffee, delicious lunches, breakfast, notes, cards, and bloom bar! Thank you to all our wonderful families for their support and appreciation not only this week, but every single day! 📚✏️🖍️🎨🛝 ...AND THE BIGGEST THANK YOU TO OUR TEACHERS! We ❤️ you and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being amazing each and every day!
