General information

My name is Jeff Peck. I have been an avid animal lover my entire life and have worked in the Pet Industry for over 30 years. I originally started this rescue to help mistreated reptiles. It has evolved in many ways and our focus has become not only helping animals in need, but also helping hobbyists be successful with the animals they choose. The internet has been flooded with so much misinformation, it can be a frustrating experience knowing what proper care is. With over 40 years of keeping Reptiles and Amphibians, I strive to help keep the experience enriching for both animals and keepers.

I am very supportive of education and feel that there is always new information to learn for beginner AND advanced pet owners and hobbyists. I have been given the opportunity to bring animals to schools and Metro Parks for presentations and frequently work with MHS, several shelters, animal control and a few Zoos when exotic pets are surrendered. We get many rescues from private owners who are no longer able to care for them, as well as injured wildlife.

I keep all rescues until I find the right match, in a new home. Some animals might stay here for years or permanently, while others might find homes quickly. I am working with breeding several species that I feel make great pets. Current breeding projects are Redfoot Tortoises, Yellowfoot Tortoises, Forsten's Tortoises, Black Mountain Tortoises, Monkey-Tailed Skinks and Gidgee Skinks. New projects may develop over time.

The rescue is run from a combination of personal finances, adoption fees, donations and sale of offspring from breeding projects. Donations are always welcome and can be made through PayPal - [email protected] or checks and gift cards may be mailed to:
