Creative Montessori Academy is a tuition-free PreK–8 public school providing a Montessori education that inspires curiosity, independence, responsibility, and a lifelong love of learning. Teachers and administration are thoroughly trained in the Montessori Method and are committed to the Montessori education of every child. We’re excited to welcome our GSRP students and families to their new space at the Early Childhood Center! The new entrance is located off Northline at the southeast corner of the building. We are excited to welcome Mr. Steve Sherohman to our school community as our new Principal!

Steve joins us with more than two decades of experience in education and a passion for building strong relationships with students, families, staff, and the greater school community. His leadership has centered on strengthening school culture, increasing student engagement, supporting teachers, and creating environments where students can grow and succeed.

Throughout his career, he has served as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal. Before moving into school administration, Steve spent many years as a classroom educator, teaching music, English, science, and social studies.

Steve also brings experience in community mental health and student support, which has shaped his belief that every student has strengths, interests, and values that can help guide their path forward. He is passionate about helping students discover those strengths, develop confidence in who they are, and see meaningful possibilities for their future.
