Lighthouse Connections Academy

Lighthouse Connections Academy We create a high-quality educational experience that helps keep students engaged in a safe learning environment.

Serving Michigan students in grades K-12 with a full-time, tuition-free online public school and the kind of connection that helps kids grow into confident learners. True to our name, we believe meaningful connections drive better academic outcomes, so we build a strong circle of support that unites students, families, and educators. Beyond academics, our teachers focus on building fundamental life skills, partnering with families to help students learn how they learn best. Here, students gain the skills needed to thrive in the real world by becoming resourceful and resilient. Our school is authorized by Oxford Community Schools. Happy Math Storytelling Day! 📚✨

At our school, 8th-grade math teacher Mr. Dominic Baffo brings lessons to life through the power of storytelling and puppetry. By creating connections, building confidence, and making math more approachable, he helps students engage with concepts in a fun and meaningful way. It's no surprise his students love learning alongside his unforgettable puppet friends! 💜

🎓 We love celebrating the accomplishments of our alumni!

Graduate Bill Spanos is now a junior at Oakland University, where he is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Artificial Intelligence. His drive and dedication even led him to petition for a redesign of his program so that his fourth year will count toward the first year of his master's degree.

Since graduating, Bill has completed five internships and continues to stay connected with his former advisor, Kristen Weber. We are proud to see him thriving and making the most of the skills he developed during his time at our school. 💜

Creativity took center stage during Back to School week! 🌟

Students built comic-style portfolios to show what they learned, and six of them were recognized at our in-person teacher event featuring Lumi, the AI storytelling platform founded by Colin Kaepernick. They shared their stories with our staff and walked away with swag from Colin himself. 💜
