Jasmine Bowers made history as the first African American woman to earn a doctorate in Computer Science from the University of Florida. On July 15, 2020, she defended her dissertation, cementing her place among trailblazers like Mary Jackson, NASA's first Black female engineer, and Dr. Patricia Bath, the first Black woman to receive a medical patent.

Jasmine's journey began with a double major in Mathematics and Computer Science at Fort Valley State University, followed by a master's degree at North Carolina A&T. But her success didn't happen in isolation. She credits her mother, a self-taught engineer, for nurturing her love for technology from childhood.

Beyond her academic achievements, Jasmine is an NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing winner and has presented research at various conferences. Now working as an engineer, she's dedicated to bridging the representation gap in STEM and inspiring young girls to pursue careers in technology.

Her commitment to community service and academia positions her as a powerful role model, proving that diverse voices are essential in shaping the future of technology.

That moment I realized I coach people around the globe with positive psychology skills that motivate them to be better leaders.

You gotta love yourself more than you want them to love you because you know what you need and they will take advantage of you if you don't love you so advocate for yourself in every way possible because the system is rigged against you not knowing any better and when you know better you get better outcomes and protect yourself from the faulty people and faulty system.
