This message is to inform you that Southfield Public Schools will be open tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

The Farmington Elks and the City of Southfield in partnership with Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) will host a community bunk‑bed build on Saturday, January 10, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. at the Southfield Department of Public Works, 25501 Clara Lane, to support local children in need. The event also includes a bedding drive for new twin‑size “bed‑in‑a‑bag” sets to help ensure no child in the community sleeps on the floor.

Volunteers are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes early and wear work clothes. Gloves, safety glasses, dust masks, water and donuts will be provided. Participants can sign up at https://x.gldn.io/e/UgdcimZI4Yb, and questions may be directed to Wendell Gramlich at 734‑331‑0567 or [email protected].
