All right, Patriots we’re in the home stretch, before school starts we have one last tip for you!

⚾️🏐🎾🏈⚽️🏃🏻‍♀️🥍🏀🤼🏊⛳️

Pinecrest has multiple sporting events every week. Buying a ticket for every game adds up, so we recommend buying the all season sports pass. It is good through May, so you can go to any home game all year long!

Students even can get a discounted sports pass for just $100 opposed to the normal $200 pass. There are also better deals when you upgrade your pass.

💡Another thing to keep in mind is that this year Pinecrest has adopted the clear bag policy to sporting events, so if you’re planning on heading to the football game this Friday against UP, be sure to have a clear bag!

💻Another first day must-do is to make sure your Chromebook is set up for success!

If you went to new student orientation you should have received your Chromebook from the media center, along with your login information and a charger. If you weren’t able to make it, you can get your Chromebook and login the first day of school in homeroom.

💡It’s a good idea to memorize your email and password, as you will use it every single day. That being said, be sure to continuously check your email! Notifications from canvas are directly linked to your email, so it’s a good idea to check it everyday.

💸It is also very important to keep track of your computer and charger, if you fail to return it at the end of the school year, the charger is a $40 fine and the computer is close to a $300 fine!  

🔌Teachers also expect students to charge their Chromebook every night, they can’t always promise that you can sit by an outlet. Your battery will last you the entire school day so don’t worry about it dying on you, but it is a good idea to bring your charger just in case.

💻Get familiar with Infinite Campus and Canvas they are the most used platforms that Pinecrest uses. You will find your grades and schedule on Infinite Campus and your course home page and resources on Canvas.

📧While you’re at it, this is a good time to think about how you can organize your email - start making folders now so you don’t lose track of things!

Homecoming is something usually sneaks up on everyone!

The excitement of school starting, making new friends, getting used to your classes, and fall sports is what most student stay focused on at the start of the year.

Then the first month of school goes by, and BOOM! Homecoming appears out of nowhere!

Lucky for you we already know the dates of the parade, game, and dance.

So start looking for dresses and snappy clothes now, it’ll come faster than you think!

💚 The parade is September 30 in downtown Southern Pines. Don’t miss it!

💛 The game is Friday night!

💚 The dance is Saturday night in the gym. Look for ticket info coming soon.
