# Full-Time Preschool Lead Teacher
**Aunt Sandi’s Learning Center** is seeking a dependable, energetic, and nurturing **Full-Time Preschool Lead Teacher** to join our team.
We are looking for a teacher who can create a structured, positive, and engaging classroom where preschool-aged children can learn, grow, develop independence, and prepare for their next stage of education.
# # # Responsibilities
The Preschool Lead Teacher will:
* Plan and lead age-appropriate daily learning activities
* Create a structured, safe, and welcoming classroom environment
* Teach early literacy, numbers, colors, shapes, writing readiness, and other preschool concepts
* Lead circle time, music, story time, arts and crafts, and hands-on learning activities
* Encourage positive social skills, independence, sharing, and appropriate classroom behavior
* Observe children's development and help each child work toward age-appropriate milestones
* Maintain an organized daily classroom schedule and routine
* Supervise children during classroom activities, meals, outdoor play, and transitions
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom
* Communicate professionally with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities
* Follow all childcare licensing, health, sanitation, and safety requirements
* Work cooperatively with other teachers, administration, and staff
# # # Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have:
* **EDU 119 – Introduction to Early Childhood Education**
* **First Aid and CPR certification**
* Previous experience working with preschool-aged children
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* A dependable, patient, energetic, and positive attitude
* The ability to actively engage children throughout the workday

**Relevant hands-on childcare and classroom experience will be heavily considered and may be weighed as strongly as formal education when evaluating candidates.**
We recognize that some of the best early childhood educators have developed their skills through years of successfully working with children. If you have strong preschool or childcare experience, proven classroom management skills, and a genuine ability to teach and connect with young children, **we strongly encourage you to apply even if you do not have extensive formal education in early childhood development.**

Candidates who are a good fit but have not completed EDU 119 may be able to **begin employment and will have up to six months to complete EDU 119 online**, subject to meeting all other employment and childcare licensing requirements.
