📚✨ Two Days of Learning, Preparing & Growing! ✨📚
The past two days have been a wonderful opportunity for Sandhills Children’s Center staff to learn, collaborate, prepare, and grow as we get ready to welcome our children back for a brand-new school year! From professional training to organizing learning spaces, preparing materials, and planning meaningful experiences, these two days have been full of purpose!

Behind Every Great School Day...
While our classrooms were quiet on Friday, our campus was anything but! As we prepare for a new school year, our staff dedicated the day to preparing every classroom, reviewing important procedures, and completing projects that help create a safe, organized, and engaging environment for every child.

Here's just a glimpse of what was accomplished:

🍎 Set up and organized classrooms for learning and play
🧸 Deep cleaned, sanitized, painted, and organized classrooms and common areas
🛠️ Tackled campus improvement projects, including patching potholes in our parking lot
📚 Planned lessons and prepared engaging learning materials for the new school year
🤝 Reviewed policies and procedures, including Emergency Preparedness and CACFP requirements, to ensure we continue providing the highest quality care

Our afternoon was dedicated to reviewing policies and procedures, reinforcing the practices that help keep our children safe and our program operating at the highest standards.

A special thank you to the Moore County Schools Exceptional Children's Team for providing our staff with training on Challenging Behaviors and IEP compliance. We truly appreciate their partnership and support as we continue to grow professionally and better serve every child. 😊

The work that happens behind the scenes is just as important as what happens in the classroom. Investing this time before the school year begins allows our team to start the year prepared, focused, and ready to provide the exceptional care and education your children deserve.

We can't wait to see all the milestones, friendships, smiles, and discoveries this year will bring. Here's to a fantastic year together!

💙 A Night to Remember at the Ballpark! ⚾
A heartfelt thank you to the Fayetteville Woodpeckers for partnering with Sandhills Children's Center to host such a fun and memorable family event, while also honoring the dedicated first responders who serve our community. We are grateful for their service and appreciate the Woodpeckers for recognizing these everyday heroes.

It was wonderful to see our board members, families, community partners, staff, and supporters come together for an evening of baseball, laughter, and community. Congratulations to Alison, one of our dedicated Board members, who was the winner of our ceremonial first pitch raffle and did a fantastic job representing Sandhills Children's Center on the mound!

We also appreciate everyone who came out to support our mission. Your presence helped raise awareness of our organization and the children and families we serve.

If you couldn't join us this year, don't worry—we're already planning to do it again next season! So start making plans to join us for another great night at the ballpark.

🍦🎉 A Sweet Surprise! 🎉🍦

Last week, Room 1 and Room 4 classrooms enjoyed a fun-filled Ice Cream Party, complete with smiles, laughter, and lots of delicious treats!

A special shout-out to The Ice Cream Parlor Restaurant in Southern Pines for generously donating the ice cream and helping make this special day possible. We are so grateful for your support of our children and our community!

We'd also like to thank one of our amazing parents, Mr. Frank Daniels, for helping make the event such a wonderful success. Your time, kindness, and support mean so much to all of us!
