Tender Years Too Child Development Center Programs Provided:
Infant (6 weeks-1 year)
Toddler (1-2 years)
Pre-K (3-5 years)
Before and after school & busing to Gainfield & Pomperaug Elementary

Teresa Belmont Paternoster and Karen Garrett Hummel, co-owners and head teachers at Tender Years Preschool in Naugatuck, have expanded into Southbury with a daycare and preschool facility. Located at 41 Poverty Road, behind Leo's in Bennett Square, the new location allows for a wider age group of children and is licensed for a total of 88 children with over 5,000 square feet and an outdoor area with play-scape for the children to safely learn, play, and explore.

We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our friends that were on standby to help with yesterday. The amazing bus drivers that were waiting and ready if we needed to proceed and get all of our children onto busses, and the friends at the Southbury Library waiting for our arrival if we needed to evacuate. Again, thank to our staff, and the entire Southbury Community. We truly are a team.

Thank you so much again to all of our Staff here at TY2 and the Southbury community for helping keep all of our friends safe and happy. We have plans to open tomorrow, Wednesday 7/29. Reminded: all children’s backpacks were left at school, please send in a bagged lunch that is labeled and remaining bags and lunch boxes will go home tomorrow. Thank you so much!

We will be closed Monday, January 26th to ensure the safety of our staff and families and to allow all the hardworking men and women of our towns to do their jobs while we stay off the roads as advised. (A huge thank you to some of our parents who we know are out working in this storm. We appreciate you and hope you stay safe.)

We hope you enjoy this special family time - whether it's outside building a snowman, going sledding, or inside making a cozy fort, doing arts and crafts, and creating memories together.
