Happy Labor Day! 🇺🇸 Our Bright Years Academy centers are closed today, and we hope our families and team members are enjoying a well-deserved day to relax, recharge, and spend time together.

We’re especially thankful for our incredible Teachers and staff and all the care and energy they bring to our centers throughout the year. One way we show our appreciation is through Pop Up Perks, with our latest bringing a delicious taco treat to our teams! 🌮💛

🎒💛 “Look out Kindergarten, here I come!” 💙🎒

Our educators at Bright Years Academy – Southbury are celebrating a very special milestone: BYA children taking their big step toward kindergarten! 🌟

Our Educational Specialist captured this touching moment between an educator and a student who was feeling a little unsure about this exciting new chapter. With a reassuring smile and a few encouraging words in — “Look out Kindergarten, here I come!” — our educator helped turn those butterflies into confidence. 🥰

At Bright Years, getting children ready for kindergarten is about so much more than academics. Throughout their time with us, our educators help children build the confidence, independence, social-emotional skills, communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and love of learning they need to feel prepared for their next adventure. ☀️

From practicing classroom routines and following directions to making friends, expressing feelings, trying new things, and learning to believe in themselves, every experience helps prepare our children for that first big day.
We couldn’t be prouder of our kindergarten-bound friends! 🎓✨ We know there may be a few nervous moments along the way, but remember — you are ready, you are capable, and you are going to do amazing things!

📌 September 7: All centers closed for Labor Day
📌 September 11: West Hartford closes at 3:00pm for Rosh Hashanah
📌 September 21: West Hartford closed for Yom Kippur

Kelly’s connection to our Niantic center goes back 18 years, giving her a unique perspective on the children, families, and Teachers who make Bright Years Academy what it is today. Now, as our Education Specialist, she shares that experience across all of our classrooms, supporting our Teachers and helping them create engaging learning experiences that encourage children to explore, discover, and grow.

Monday was all about learning, growing, and getting ready for an amazing new school year! Our teachers had the opportunity to learn from a special guest speaker, refresh and complete their medication trainings, and spend time preparing their classrooms for the year ahead. 🩷
From professional development to classroom preparation, our team is always looking for ways to grow their knowledge, strengthen their skills, and create the best possible learning environment for our children. We are so proud of the dedication our teachers show both inside and outside of the classroom! 🍎✨
