Our fourth graders in Ms. Miritello’s class worked hard as they kicked off their Literacy Launch. They started by learning about informational texts and discussing what makes this writing unique.

Then, students journaled about a topic of their choice. It was wonderful to see their creativity, ideas, and enthusiasm fill the pages as they began a new year of writing!

Grade 5 Art: Three-Part Monsters!

After learning about our art room expectations and getting introduced to the creative process, our Grade 5 artists jumped right into a fun collaborative drawing game!

Students worked together to create “3-Part Monsters.” Each artist began by drawing a head, then passed their paper to a second artist to create the body. Finally, a third artist added the legs.

The best part? The big reveal! When students opened up their papers to see the complete creatures, there was lots of laughter and plenty of surprises!

The night before the first day of school is here, and we couldn’t be more excited!

Our custodians and staff have been working hard to make sure West Street School is ready for our students, and we are ready for YOU! We can’t wait to welcome everyone back tomorrow for a wonderful new school year filled with learning, friendship, and fun.

What an amazing Open House!
A huge thank you to our incredible families and community partners for helping us kick off the new school year in such a special way!
The barbers from Ebenezer’s Barber Shop were on hand to give so many of our students a fresh cut and a confident start to the school year. We are so grateful for their generosity and support!
