🐾🚨 FLEAS DON'T TAKE A WINTER VACATION! 🚨🐾
Attention Pet Parents!
We've seen a noticeable increase in flea cases at the salon recently, so we wanted to share a friendly but important reminder!
❄️ Flea and tick prevention is a YEAR-ROUND responsibility!
Colder weather doesn't mean fleas and ticks disappear! Fleas can survive and reproduce inside warm homes throughout the winter, and ticks can remain active outdoors whenever conditions allow.
🐶 Fleas aren't just an inconvenience. They can cause skin irritation, allergic reactions, and infestations in your home. Ticks can also transmit serious diseases.
🐾 WHAT IF YOUR DOG HAS FLEAS?
First, please don't panic! Fleas happen, and we're happy to help!
We do offer flea baths and can accommodate dogs dealing with fleas. However, we MUST know about the fleas BEFORE your appointment.
Because we often have multiple dogs in the salon at once, we take extra precautions to protect every pet in our care. This may mean scheduling your dog at a special time when no other dogs are present and discussing appropriate flea treatment before their visit.
Please do not knowingly bring a dog with fleas into the salon without notifying us first.
If we discover an active flea infestation during a regularly scheduled appointment, additional fees may apply, and we may need to reschedule the groom.
❤️ Our goal is never to turn away a pet that needs help. It's to make sure we're helping them responsibly while keeping everyone else's pets safe, too!
