⛪️🏍️ Day 4 in Milwaukee! 🏍️⛪️
Our final full day in Milwaukee was filled with faith, history, and a little adventure!
We began the day at Holy Hill, home to the beautiful Basilica and National Shrine of Mary, Help of Christians. Students explored the grounds, admired the stunning architecture, and climbed the tower for breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.
After our time exploring, we gathered together for Mass in this special place of prayer and reflection. Following Mass, we enjoyed lunch at the café before spending some time browsing the gift shop and picking up a few souvenirs to remember our visit.
In the afternoon, we shifted gears and headed to the Harley-Davidson Museum, where students learned about the history of one of Milwaukee's most iconic companies. From vintage motorcycles to interactive exhibits, there was plenty to see and experience.
We wrapped up our final evening together with a group dinner at Kopp's, sharing great food, laughter, and memories from an incredible week of learning, friendship, and collaboration.
As our time in Milwaukee comes to a close, we are grateful for the experiences we've shared, the friendships we've strengthened, and the many memories we've made along the way.

🌟 Day 3 in Milwaukee! 🌟
Today was a day full of discovery, exploration, and hands-on learning!
Our morning began at Discovery World, where students explored exhibits on everything from weather systems and simple machines to historic ships and aquatic life. They even had the opportunity to touch fish in the aquarium and experience science in action through a variety of interactive exhibits.
Each of our students found something exciting to try: ⚡ Madison touched lightning! 🛏️ Blaise bravely laid on a bed of nails. 🚜 Drew operated a construction excavator simulator. 💡 Andrew generated electricity through one of the science exhibits.
Students also tested their skills in flight simulators, taking turns piloting both airplanes and helicopters.
After our adventures at Discovery World, we boarded a riverboat for a scenic cruise along the Milwaukee River and out onto beautiful Lake Michigan, giving everyone a chance to see the city from a different perspective.
The day concluded with dinner at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee Student Union, followed by an engaging presentation by Dr. Jean Creighton.
Another wonderful day of learning, friendship, and unforgettable experiences as part of the Schools in Collaboration Summer Institute!

Schools in Collaboration, day two! Lots of exciting activities for the students from our Dehonian schools...including our school presentations, tours of the seminary, chapel and library, a scavenger hunt, a visit to the mausoleum as well as a trivia contest. We even helped clean up the flowerbeds around the property! One of our favorite excursions was visiting with the retired SCJs and listening to their wonderful stories.

❤️🤍 Day 2 in Milwaukee! ❤️🤍
Today was filled with friendship, faith, service, and plenty of fun as our students continued their Schools in Collaboration experience.
The day began with a tour of the seminary, starting in the beautiful chapel at its heart. Gathering in this sacred space was a wonderful way to begin the day and learn more about the community that has welcomed us so warmly.
Students then joined together for introductions, sharing a little about themselves and what they love most about their school communities. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about one another and celebrate the unique gifts each school brings to our collaboration.
Next, students teamed up with members of the Provincial Council for a friendly competition to see who knew the most about the life and legacy of Father Dehon. There was plenty of enthusiasm, teamwork, and a little friendly rivalry along the way!
In the afternoon, students participated in a service project, helping care for the seminary grounds by tidying and beautifying the gardens. Through service, they were able to put their faith into action while giving back to our hosts.
The evening concluded with a special ice cream social alongside retired members of the Priests of the Sacred Heart. Students enjoyed good conversation, laughter, and the opportunity to connect with those who have dedicated their lives to serving others.
We are grateful for another wonderful day and can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!
