SIS SPOTLIGHT is a program designed to address the needs of students in the Gifted Program with the districts instructional management plan.
SPOTLIGHT guarantees students an appropriate environment to encourage intellectual and social/emotional growth. This page is for all of the gifted students and their families to stay "In the Loop" about what's happening in our Spotlight classes.

Third graders in Mrs. Fortenberry's class have been working as desert island architects: building shelters and bridges with limited supplies!

Big day for Fifth Grade Spotlight as they conquered BizTown on March 17th 🧡🩵
SIS students ran the town for a day- staffing businesses, filling orders, managing payrolls, making deliveries, policy decisions, and political speeches!

Yesterday at the Memphis Science and History Museum, fourth grade Spotlight students:
Extracted DNA from strawberries 🍓
Learned about the Artemis Project & Winter Constellations 🌌
Explored exhibits on the culture and science of food 🍱
Made lasting memories with friends 🧡🩵
