Congratulations, Tylan! You are the first recipient of our Student Spotlight. Tylan is a frequent visitor to the Writing Center, sometimes coming twice a week. He has also recruited several students to come to the Writing Center. We are proud of you and your accomplishments.

This past weekend, we presented at the Mississippi Writing Center Association. Our presentation, "Networking and Navigating: Making Connections Within and Outside of the Writing Center," explored the creative strategies we use to enhance Writing Center visibility on campus while also supporting student learning.

Our first Meet the Author event was spectacular! Award-winning writer Levi Bronze provided students with helpful tips to overcome writer's block, embrace their writing style, and get published. Thank you to everyone who participated, and a special thank you to Levi Bronze.

Join us for our first "Pens and Purpose" event, part of our Meet the Author series. In this series, authors will guide students interested in creative writing covering topics such as writer's block, brainstorming, plot, chapters, publishing, and more. We look forward to seeing you!
