Big congratulations to Cheyanne Duncan of Nesbit and Jillian Coe of Hernando, this year’s recipients of the Janelle Dame Memorial Scholarship, thoughtfully awarded by the MS Chi Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa! 🎉 Both of these inspiring future educators received a certificate and a $500 award to support their journeys.
Cheyanne is currently at Northwest DeSoto Campus gaining hands-on experience at Pleasant Hill Elementary while preparing to transfer to Mississippi State. Meanwhile, Jillian is completing her practicum at Hernando Hills Elementary and is looking forward to graduating soon right here at Ole Miss-DeSoto!

While the big stage in Oxford was incredible, our hearts are still full from our own celebration right here at the DeSoto campus.
There is something so special about marking this milestone in the place where you’ve put in the work. Our ceremony was filled with familiar faces—classmates who became friends and staff who’ve been cheering you on since day one.
