📚🎉 Today’s theme for Read Across America Week was all about careers! 🌟 We had an incredible day with so many professions represented— from a teacher like Sr. Margaret Sue to an interpreter for the deaf, an artist, and so much more! It was a fun-filled day of live characters and books that highlighted the amazing futures ahead of us. Thank you to everyone who participated and made it so special!

"Celebrating Reading: PK and Kindergarten students had a blast celebrating reading today with a special visit from the Cat in the Hat! 🎩📚 Middle school students joined in the fun by reading a variety of Dr. Seuss favorites to the primary students. It was a day filled with laughter, learning, and love for books! "

🌞 What a beautiful day to celebrate! Our Mardi Gras Parade was held a day early, and the students had a blast! They enjoyed delicious Italian Ice and got to see an amazing parade of unique floats. This year, we were honored to have Deputy Tucker and Sergeant Maze from the Desoto County Sheriff’s Department lead the parade. The event concluded with a special moment as Mr. Drew and Sr. Margaret Sue burned the palms to prepare for Ash Wednesday Mass.

"Today, students in grades 5-8 had an engaging presentation on plastic by Mark Wolverton from PlastiVan! They learned all about how plastics are made, how they're used in everyday life, and the importance of recycling. A great way to raise awareness about sustainability! "

Gabbie Porter, Ornella Villegas, Dexter Freeman, and Rylan Hebert were all selected for the St. Jude Leadership society! They are pictured here with Sebastian Villegas (Class of 2020) and Dr. Chris Fay.
