We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Samantha Thompson, a former NWCC Funeral Service Program student. Though her journey in the program was cut short due to illness, Samantha left an unforgettable mark on our hearts.
Despite her challenges, Samantha brought light into every room she entered. Her resilience, kindness, and joyful spirit inspired her classmates and instructors. She reminded us daily of the strength it takes to show up with grace, even in the most challenging moments.
We honor Samantha not just for the time she spent with u but also for the lasting impression she made. All who knew her will remember her with deep affection and admiration.

The Northwest Mississippi Funeral Service Program honors the remarkable life and enduring legacy of Mr. Larry Anderson.
Mr. Anderson began his journey in funeral service education at Northwest in 1987. Over nearly three decades, he played a pivotal role in helping countless individuals across the Mid-South achieve their dreams of becoming licensed funeral service professionals.
After dedicating close to 30 years to funeral service education, in addition to his years of full-time work in the profession, Mr. Anderson retired in August 2016, leaving behind an indelible mark on our program and the industry.
For those who knew Mr. Anderson, his love for coffee, hunting, and fishing was unmistakable. On Thursday, November 28, 2024, he departed this life for what we fondly imagine as his eternal fishing trip.
We are deeply grateful for the profound impact he made here at Northwest and extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends during this time of bereavement.
