Like items go with like items. It doesn't make a difference what we are organizing, the same first rule applies. We can then look at what is left of the "like items" and maybe decide to eliminate or downsize some before finding an acceptable storage system.

Physical therapy three times a week is taking a substantial chunk of time.. Most "free estimates" need to be done on weekends so Missgayle, the Ebay specialist is available at the same time.

Helped a couple trying to figure out how to close the deceased parents homestead. Beautiful 5 bedroom, Newtown/Langhorne home, stuffed with everything you can imagine... 60 years of collecting (hoarding). Unfortunately I am having my knee replaced this Friday and can't jump right into this project... MissGayle and I will get it done by due date. Anybody interested in buying dolls, drafting table, Granddaughter clock collection??

helped my grandaughter with her desk. she has been learning the steps of organizing since an early age. Like items with like itmes... emiminate excesses.... find an appropriate storage for whats left... she had an empty drawer when she was done and now has room for the school work that used to sit on her chair. Organizing is not somthing we do once but an ongoing mission. life is not static but ongoing decisions to ever changing situations.

A great way to declutter is to have a yard sale in the spring.. now is the time to do the prep for your big or small sale.. look for community events so you don't have to do all the advertising yourself and start gathering the saleable stuff into one place.. doing a little at a time makes large projects more doable... just get started...

Obviously due to the weather this is a better time to be working in attics and/or basements instead of cold spaces like the garage. The same 3 steps help us handle organizing projects.. Number 1: put like Item's with Like Item's.. Number 2: eliminate the additional stuff you don't need and Number 3, but only after you do 1 and 2, find an appropriate storage vehicle for what's left over..

New client consultation on their parent home liquidation went well.. unfortunately the residence was too far to actually handle material things.. We were pleasantly surprised that they were delighted just to have us talk with them and our suggestions motivated them and provided guidance to get their project going... Sometimes that's all we need to do to help people get going...

I am doing a full week organizing project for a client that had surgery on his back. The home needs to be organized with no bending, no lifting and no twisting post surgery rules in mind.
