🎨 Chalk the Walk is almost here! Please share to help spread the word! 🌈

The PTO brings the chalk — you bring the love! 💛

Join us Wednesday, August 26th, 4:00–7:00 PM at Norris Elementary School (34 Pomeroy Meadow, Southampton) to write fun, silly, or heartfelt messages for students, loved ones, teachers, and staff. Let's welcome the whole Norris community back to school on the 27th with a sidewalk full of color and encouragement! ✏️😊

🅿️ Parking note: Please park along the Gunn Road extension or behind the school (if mobility allows) so we can keep the front lot open for messages in the teacher and staff spaces.

Can't wait to see the sidewalks light up with Norris spirit! 🏫💕

🍦 It's almost time for our Ice Cream Social! 🍦

We can't wait to kick off the school year with some sweet treats and even sweeter company! This event doesn't happen without our amazing volunteers — whether you can restock toppings for an hour or help set up/take down, every bit helps make this a great night for our Norris families.

We hope everyone had a safe 4th of July, and faired well in the warm weather. As we adjust back after the holiday, we're excited to share that the Norris PTO and the Southampton Police Department-Massachusetts have teamed up to encourage and reward safe bike habits throughout the summer.

As kids enjoy riding around town, Southampton Police officers will be on the lookout for young riders demonstrating safe biking behavior, such as wearing a properly fitted helmet, following traffic signs, crossing safely, and staying alert. Riders observed practicing safe cycling habits may receive a Sheldon's Ice Cream coupon as a reward for making smart choices. Please note that coupons are not guaranteed but may be given to riders demonstrating safe biking habits.

This program is designed to promote bicycle safety, encourage positive interactions with local law enforcement, and help make our community safer for everyone. We encourage families to review bike safety rules with their children and remind them to always ride responsibly.

We’ll also be wrapping up current board positions and are looking for new members to join our team! Don’t worry—you’ll have full support from us during the transition. We’re committed to helping every step of the way and will continue to assist with major projects so you’re never on your own.
