👕 Spirit Wear and spirit week ideas
🧁 A look back at the Bake Sale and Open House (spoiler: you helped us nearly double last year's bake sale profits!)

Behind every event at Norris is a handful of parents, grandparents, and neighbors who said "sure, I can help." Whether you come with a big idea, a small question, or just a willingness to listen, there's a seat for you here. Your presence matters. 💙

🏡 Can't make it to the school? Join us from home! All meetings are hybrid, so come in person or hop on Google Meet from the kitchen table after bedtime routines. Meeting links and the agenda are in the comments!

Our bake sale was a huge success, and we have so many people to thank!

To our amazing bakers: Thank you for donating such a delicious array of treats. Your time, creativity, and generosity made the tables something special.

To every family who stopped by and bought something: Thank you! You turned a table of baked goods into real support for our school.

To everyone who brought a tasty "snack" for our candy monster: He was stuffed to the brim! 👹 Thanks to you, we're already over halfway to our candy goal for Trunk or Treat.

Here's the best part: we nearly doubled our profits compared to last year's bake sale! Success like this is what allows the PTO to do the work of supporting every member of the Norris school community. We couldn't do it without all of you. 💛

And one more thank you... Today is Custodian Appreciation Day, and our PTO is celebrating the William E. Norris School custodial team with a themed card and gift card to their favorite grinder spot to let them know how much they're appreciated. They keep our school looking SUB-lime! 🥪 We're so grateful for everything they do for our students and staff every single day. If you see them in the hallways, please give them a big thank you too!

🍪 TODAY'S THE DAY: Norris PTO Open House Bake Sale! 🧁

Open House is tonight, and the bake sale is ready for you, Norris families! This year we have TWO tables:

📍 Outside Table: 5:30-7:30 pm
📍 Inside Table (near the front office): 6-7 pm

What's on the menu? 😋
🧁 Gourmet treats from Sweet Cakes
🍪 The famous Stone Family chocolate chip cookies. IYKYK. 😉
🍫 Oyster cracker candy with sea salt and chocolate drizzle. Sweet, salty, and dangerously snackable...plus a table full of other homemade goodies from our amazing Norris families!

💲 Treats are $1-$5, so there's something for every sweet tooth and every budget.

💵 Cash is preferred, so please bring small bills if you can.
💳 New this year: We're debuting a card reader, so you may be able to pay by card too. (Fingers crossed it cooperates! 🤞)

🧺 Still want to contribute? Bake sale donations can be dropped off early between 5:00 and 5:30 pm at the outside table.

‼️ Prefer to shop early but don't want to carry around your haul? We'll have bags available and can hold them for them you until you're ready to leave- just ask!

And don't forget to say hi to the Candy Monster in the front office. He's hungry for your Trunk or Treat donations! 🍬

We called...and you ANSWERED! 🎉

Wow, Norris families — when we put out the call for bake sale donations yesterday, you showed up big! Sign-ups are already rolling in, and we are so grateful.

Here's why it matters so much: in just the first month of school, the PTO has already spent a little over $8,500 on essential classroom materials, teaching supports, field trip costs, and student supplies. Every bake sale dollar helps us continue saying yes to teacher requests, keep classroom supplies stocked, and offset the rising cost of field trips and buses — so our kids get the experiences that make this school special.

None of it happens without you. The PTO runs on donations from families like yours — your time, your money, your ideas, your energy. So to everyone who signed up to bake, buy, or drop something off: thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. 💛

Not a problem! Maybe you saw our bake sale post and thought, "I don't bake-this isn't my event."

But did you know: you don't have to bake to support the bake sale! If your kitchen skills peak at "removing the plastic wrap," you can still help the Oct 1 bake sale by grabbing a prepackaged treat from our Amazon wish list. It ships straight to us, and ensures that there's something there for everyone!

We're looking for NINE (9) more bakers to help us fill the bake sale table on October 1. We're looking for baked goods donations and we are NOT picky. Homemade? Wonderful. Bakery-bought? We won't tell. From a box mix with a little extra frosting? Your secret is safe with us.

We'll be mapping out crafts, games, food, raffle prizes, and everything in between.
