A basketball player stepped up and helped give CPR to a referee who suffered cardiac arrest.

But watch what else happens in this video.

Another referee immediately takes control of the scene, directs someone to call 911, and tells someone else to get the AED.

CPR is started, help is organized, and the referee survived.

Cape Cod CPR was proud to welcome representatives from the Cape & Islands District Attorney’s Office, along with Attorney Ryan Stark, for an important public safety educational meeting focused on HIPAA and the deployment of community resources.

These conversations are an important part of strengthening collaboration among public safety professionals, healthcare providers, and community partners. Understanding how we can appropriately share information, protect patient privacy, and connect individuals with available resources helps us better serve the communities of Cape Cod and the Islands.

We appreciate the opportunity to host this discussion and thank our guests for sharing their knowledge and perspective with everyone. Day 2 tomorrow & we’re looking forward to it!

Behind every great EMT course is a team of instructors who put in A LOT of work behind the scenes. 🚑

At Cape Cod CPR, our trainers don’t just show up to teach. They collaborate, plan, practice, troubleshoot, and constantly work together to make sure our EMT students are getting the most hands-on, realistic, and meaningful training possible.

From building scenarios and preparing skills stations to sharing their real-world experience and finding new ways to challenge our students — there is so much effort that goes into every course before the classroom doors even open.

Our instructors bring different backgrounds, experiences, and specialties to the table, but they all have the same goal: to help prepare the next generation of EMTs to feel confident when it matters most.

It truly takes a team. And we’re proud of the team behind Cape Cod CPR. ❤️‍🩹🚑
