Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School’s Dale Fornoff Receives 2026 Yale Educator Award ⭐

We are proud to congratulate Dale Fornoff, D-Y Guidance and Counseling Department Chair, on being named a recipient of the 2026 Yale Educator Award!

This prestigious recognition celebrates educators who have made an exceptional impact on their students’ growth, achievement, and future opportunities. Dale was selected from a highly competitive pool of nominees representing schools across the United States and around the world.

The Yale Educator Recognition Program honors outstanding educators who have supported, inspired, and encouraged their students to achieve at high levels. Each year, incoming Yale students are invited to nominate high school educators who have made a meaningful difference in their lives. A committee of Yale admissions officers reviews the nominations and selects the award recipients.

Dale’s recognition is a reflection of our District’s commitment to Excellence. Excellence is not simply about achievement, it is about setting high expectations, supporting students in reaching their potential, and providing them with the guidance and opportunities they need to succeed.

The program recognizes that educators play a critical role in shaping students long before they arrive on a college campus. Educators like Dale help students discover their strengths, pursue ambitious goals, and see possibilities for their futures.

We’re proud to welcome The Wall That Heals in Yarmouth, MA as the sole Massachusetts host on the 2026 national tour, September 15–20 at Parker’s River Landing. This official traveling memorial honors the 3+ million Americans who served in the Vietnam War and the 58,281 who made the ultimate sacrifice. Open 24/7, rain or shine September 17–20 (see full schedule below).

Primary: Parker’s River Landing (669 Route 28, Yarmouth).
Overflow: When full, signs direct to satellite parking at Wicked Waves Cape Cod with shuttle service.

The D-Y Capital Improvement Sub-Committee was hard at work last week, taking part in a district-wide tour to see firsthand the exciting upgrades happening throughout our schools.

And yes… they are a brave group! They even made their way onto the roof of DYHS to get an up-close look at the improvements underway.

There are so many great things happening at D-Y! We’re proud to be part of a community that continues to invest in our schools, our students, and our future. 🐬
