Coastal Kids Family Childcare Coastal Kids is centered around each individual child. Productive play is at its core. Many activities are centered around books.

Numerous studies have documented the importance of play in the early years. Something that seems so simple has a profound impact on the child’s social emotional development, speech and language, as well as fine and gross motor skills. Each month parents will receive a calendar with the theme and activities their child will be participating in. All activities are tiered to encompass our mixed age g

roup. This ensures age appropriate skill building is taking place. Being a family childcare provider allows me to keep this curriculum fluid by adjusting it to the needs of the children on that specific day. We will be playing with a multitude of materials and it is important to let the children in my care get messy and explore new textures and materials.
