RSM South Windsor

RSM-South Windsor is a branch of the Russian School of Mathematics, an award winning, after-school math program for K-12 students.

Since 1997, RSM has helped children develop math fluency, intellect, and character, empowering them for life. The Russian School of Mathematics is a K-12 afterschool and summer enrichment program. Founded in 1997 in Newton, MA by two Russian Immigrant mothers, the school has grown and currently serves over 8000 students across the country. RSM Rocky Hill is starting this summer as the first RSM branch in Connecticut. The principal is Christopher Green.

🌟 Student Spotlight: Adwetta Bhattacharyya 🌟

"RSM has helped Adwetta reach the pinnacle of her mathematical journey. She completed her Geometry course for high school in 8th grade, tested out of Algebra 1, earned a 99 overall average in Algebra 2 as a freshman, and scored a 5 on the AP Precalculus Exam also as a freshman. Her strong RSM foundation has enabled her to take AP Calculus BC as a sophomore, which should complete everything her high school can offer in math. Allowing her to take collegiate level math courses with Uconn in her junior year. Special thank you to Mr. Peter, Ms. Alice, and Ms. Mania for being her teachers at a critical juncture in this journey." – Adwetta's Parent

Adwetta has been a student at RSM since 2nd grade, where she built a strong foundation in mathematics, logical thinking, and problem-solving.

In addition to her outstanding achievements in math, Adwetta's essay in the Philosophy category of the prestigious John Locke Essay Competition was recently shortlisted for awards consideration among more than 100,000 entries worldwide. A testament to her curiosity, creativity, and independent thinking.

We are incredibly proud of everything Adwetta has accomplished and are honored to have been part of her journey. Congratulations, Adwetta! We can't wait to see all you'll achieve in the years ahead. 💙

Our students wrapped up the final week of summer classes last week by completing their summer lessons and putting their learning to the test. We’re so proud of all the hard work, progress, and dedication they’ve shown throughout the summer!

What a great evening at Glastonbury National Night Out this past Tuesday! ☀️

We had a great time meeting new families, catching up with familiar faces, and watching so many curious minds take on our bubble experiment. They discovered a surprising fact by testing bubble wands of different shapes, and found that bubbles always become spheres because a sphere holds the most air with the least surface area, making it the most efficient shape in nature.

A huge thank you to Glastonbury Parks & Rec, the Police Department, Fire Department, and EMS for organizing such a wonderful community event. We're grateful to have been part of an evening dedicated to bringing our community together!

Our Summer STEAM program is bringing out the curiosity at RSM! ☀️

These past Fridays, our STEAM students have explored the creativity of geometric string art, designing unique patterns while discovering the math behind them. They also stepped into the role of scientists with a hands-on chemistry experiment, creating elephant toothpaste and watching an exciting foamy reaction come to life!

Learning is even more fun when students can explore, create, and experiment together. 🧪✨

🎉 What an incredible year for RSM North CT! 🎉

Our students' hard work, determination, and love of learning have led to an outstanding year of achievement. From earning top honors in prestigious national and international math competitions to achieving perfect scores, state rankings, and academic awards, we couldn't be prouder of everything they've accomplished.

Congratulations to all of our students for their dedication and perseverance throughout the 2025–2026 school year. Your curiosity, resilience, and mathematical mindset continue to inspire us every day.
