Where does your self-awareness come from? No matter how we arrange chemicals they do not become self aware. Your self-awareness comes from your spirit, which God has formed in you. Likewise, if chemistry determined everything, all your thoughts would be pre-determined by chemistry. You would be a robot. But you can control your thoughts, because the real you is a non-physical spirit that interacts with your brain. Videos at EDUCATE7.COM discuss this and mathematically show that new complex DNA information cannot be created by mutations plus natural selection. Creatures can adapt and make limited changes by rearranging existing information, but can never create the kind of complex new information needed to evolve into a more complex type of creature.
