South Whitley High School: Class of '71

Hello once again Facebook friends!

Here is a little more info regarding the SWHS Class of ‘71 50th reunion.

From what I gather on Friday, August 13th our class will be gather at what is known as the Brownstone in downtown South Whitley. The doors will open at 5 PM. (Brownstone on State - 105 S State St.)

Tony and Lori Starkey are kindly allowing us to use the facility. All they ask is that we clean the place afterward.

Through Steve and others, I am hearing that quite a few of us will be there.

I anticipate that we’ll order some pizza from down the street, and someone will supply some refreshments. We’ll likely set out a donation box to reimburse those expenses, but that will be at your discretion.

And please feel free to bring whatever you prefer as well.

If we collect more than was spent the balance will go to a local charity or two.

I plan to bring a blue tooth speaker system and we can take turns playing tunes in the background.

Here are a couple of comments about the Triennial.

We have several classmates from out of town registered. But very few locals have registered. The registration deadline is just a day away – the 15th. It would be nice if some more of us would join them.

We plan on grabbing a couple of tables so that our class can sit together.

My understanding is that you do not have to be a graduate of SWHS to attend, it is for all who attended high school at some point. If you have a friend who moved out of town after attending SWHS with us for a while feel free to invite them along. I am sure they will enjoy seeing us all.
