Hello! If you are looking for an instrumental teacher for yourself or your child, you have come to the right place! I am currently taking on violin, flute and piano students in East Aurora, South Wales and the surrounding areas.

Having moved to the USA from England 5 years ago, it is time for me to begin teaching again now my 2 children are in school.

I graduated from Sheffield University with a Bachelor of Music degree in 2006, primarily on violin, accompanied by flute. Following this I completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Education at the University of Huddersfield, focusing on Secondary school teaching. I worked as a secondary school music teacher (11-18 year old students) as well as a Head of Music in the years before having our children and moving to the USA. Alongside my day job, I worked as a private instrumental teacher in the evenings and at weekends, teaching violin and flute to children and adults, beginner to advanced players. In addition I played violin with Sheffield Symphony Orchestra for many years, which is where I met my husband! I also conducted my wonderful church choir at St John’s Walton, Chesterfield and played in numerous string quartets for weddings and functions.

Since moving to WNY I have been volunteering as President of a local Preschool and have started a now very successful Playgroup for children aged birth to Kindergarten, where music, of course, features heavily! I am hoping to get back in to ensemble playing soon as I do miss it - every time I see the BPO I am reminded of this!
