Join us on a powerful workshop with Mestre Negoativo’s on Tuesday, August 4th, 6-8pm!

Coletivo Bora Vadiar is honored to host Mestre Negoativo, a renowned Capoeira master & cultural activist from Minas Gerais, Brasil, and our biggest mentor. We invite you to come experience a profound movement and musicality workshop at Define in South Salt Lake!

All levels are welcome.
Registration is required for all participants. Contribution for this workshop is on a sliding scale from $35-50. Class is included to all Coletivo Bora Vadiar folks who are currently contributing monthly.

Coletivo Bora Vadiar is honored to recognize eiby lobos as Instrutora in Capoeira! 🌜✨🌿

eiby lobos is a professional dancer and choreographer & has been dedicating to studying and learning capoeira for over 12 years.

Recently, she lived in Portugal participating in a few artists residency programs, connecting with local capoeiristas and traveling to different events & rodas.
Through her consist work and passion for the beautiful art form of resistance of Capoeira, she inspires us all to continue learning and moving.

Join us in recognizing and celebrating eiby lobos’ graduation to Instrutora on Saturday, August 8th, 1pm at the Marmalade Library!

Join us for a powerful night where Brasil takes over Creole & Sliders’ kitchen - celebrating the deep connections of Afro-diasporic cuisine! 🌶️🐟🍛

From the shared roots of Brasilian and Creole cuisine to the rhythms that connect Brazilian jazz and New Orleans jazz, this night celebrates deep cultural ties.

Come hungry, come curious, and come support! 😍

We’re bringing the Brasilian flavors and the stories they share with Creole cuisine with two meal options to choose from: Moqueca Baiana (Brasilian Fish Stew) & Baião de Dois (Rice, Beans, Je**ed beef & Sausage) alongside a sweet twist: bolo de fubá with goiabada stepping in to remix the delicious cornbread tradition.

All funds raised go towards our Annual Festivadiar Cultural event in August 2026.

Contra-Mestre Toicinho is coming! 🎶🎉
We’re stoked to welcome him for the first time in Salt Lake!
CM Toicinho will be teaching two workshops: one on Sunday, April 26 at 11am & one on Tuesday, April 28 at 5pm. They will include Capoeira Angola movement and musicality.
He will also be bringing his beautiful berimbaus, if you’re interested in getting them.

We know… you’ve been waiting for our bake sale ALL YEAR! 🎉🌿
Well, guess what?! It’s happening in 9 days!

And this time we’ll also have amazing handmade art (tiny beaded animals, buttons, Brazilian earrings) for sale!

All raised funds go directly to support our cultural Capoeira event in August!

So come by Loki Coffee on Saturday, April 11th, from 10am-3pm, grab a delicious coffee, passion fruit & cookies and cream mini cheesecakes and handmade art!
