First grade is learning with apples this week! 🍎

Students are exploring apples in all kinds of ways, from taste-testing three different colors and discovering whether apples sink or float, to looking closely at the different parts of an apple. They’re even bringing apples into math and religion.

It’s a fun reminder that learning can connect across so many parts of the school day, especially when curious first graders get to investigate, wonder, and discover along the way.

Crazy Hair Day was a hit at Holy Trinity! 👏🏼

Our students earned this fun reward by reaching one of our Marathon fundraising milestones, and they definitely made the most of it. From wild colors to creative styles, there were plenty of smiles throughout the school.

Thank you to everyone who has donated and helped us continue making progress toward our Marathon goal. Every gift helps support Catholic education at Holy Trinity and our mission to Get Our Students to Heaven.

✨ Marathon Update! ✨
We are grateful for the incredible start to this year’s Marathon. Already, our community has helped us raise $20,650 toward our $30,000 goal!

Every dollar brings us closer to keeping tuition accessible, supporting classroom resources, and continuing our mission of getting our students to Heaven while providing an Excellent Education Rooted in Holiness. On October 9, our students will dedicate the day to prayer for our donors and community and for all who support Catholic education at Holy Trinity School.

Help us keep the momentum going! Donations can be made through envelopes in church pews, at the school office, or online at holytrinityssp.org/marathon.

Happy Feast of the Guardian Angels! 🪽

Today at Mass, Father Echert spoke beautifully about the Feast of the Guardian Angels. Earlier this week, we also celebrated the Feast of the Archangels. Father reminded us that each of us has a guardian angel, given to us by God to protect us, guide us, and help lead us to heaven. I especially loved the reminder that the mission of our guardian angels is so closely connected to our own school mission: To get our students to heaven.

Father encouraged us to pray to our guardian angels and ask for their help and guidance each day. What a beautiful reminder that our students are never alone as they grow in holiness and learn to know, love, and serve God.

At the end of Mass, Father Echert, along with Deacon Fischer, gave Guardian Angel prayer cards to all of our students, staff, and parishioners. It was such a simple but beautiful gift and a wonderful reminder to turn to our guardian angels throughout the day.

We then had Benediction, which made the morning even more beautiful. We ended by singing Holy God, We Praise Thy Name, and the second verse was especially fitting:

“Hark, the loud celestial hymn
Angel choirs above are raising;
Cherubim and Seraphim
In unceasing chorus praising,
Fill the heavens with sweet accord,
Holy, Holy, Holy Lord!”

What a beautiful morning at Holy Trinity! We are so blessed to be able to begin our day with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, Benediction, and the reminder that God has given each of us a guardian angel to watch over us and help lead us closer to Him.

Holy Guardian Angels, pray for us! 🙏

Preschool is all about apples right now! 🍎

As part of their apple unit, our preschoolers enjoyed apple farm activities and a taste test featuring red, yellow, and green apples.

Hands-on activities like these make learning fun, memorable, and just the right size for our youngest Hawks.

🎶 Our 5th & 6th Graders Are Musicians AND Makers!

Our 5th and 6th grade students have been busy in music class creating their very own one-string dulcimers! These unique instruments are a little like a lap guitar, and the best part is that the students get to keep them.

From building to finishing their instruments, our students put time, creativity, and a lot of hard work into this project. We’re so proud of the finished products and can’t wait to hear them put their new dulcimers to use!

Great job, 5th and 6th grade! 👏

Science is even better when you can see it in action. 🧪

Our 6th graders explored density by building their own density towers using honey, milk, dish soap, water, and vegetable oil. As the liquids settled into layers, students could see how differences in density create layering and connect that concept to the layers beneath the Earth’s surface.

A colorful, hands-on way to bring science off the page and into the classroom.

What a special opportunity for our students and staff to learn about a saint in the making, Archbishop Fulton Sheen! We are all called to be saints. At Holy Trinity Catholic School, our mission is simple: To get our students to heaven! Our greatest goal is not only to form good students, but to help form saints who know, love, and serve God.

May the example of Blessed Fulton Sheen inspire our students to strive for holiness in their everyday lives. Blessed Fulton Sheen, pray for us!
