The green house was warmer then usual today at 42 degrees, after a series of jumping jacks we were able to bump it up 46 degrees! 12 girls inside a green house can really turn up the heat. We tilled the soil the best we could to keep it loose and ready for planting. We also made plant labels with hand drawn pictures, we had to look up what chicory looked like! SMCC students if you are interested in coming to the boys and girls club with us on wednesdays and thursdays from 330-430 let us know!

Yesterday at the boys and girls club those who wanted to try a radish had to answer this trivia question: Which vitamin is most common in radishes (A: Vitamin C). Then we picked apart a young radish plant and learned about roots, bugs, plant lifespans, and vacuuming! A lot more kids liked radishes than we were expecting!
