MaineLy Childcare is seeking a Waddler Teacher to join our team of Early Childhood Educators.

We are looking for someone to take over our younger Waddler group, ages 1-2years old. This classroom is working on a typical daycare schedule. They are working towards taking 1 nap a day after lunch and follow a more structured routine that includes circle time, structured gross motor, creative arts, and dramatic play during the day.

There is 4-5 children in the classroom. You will be expected to work alone in the classroom, as all of our classrooms are solo teacher rooms.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to...

Plan and implement daily curriculum plans
Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
Establish and maintain positive relationships with the children and their parents
Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
Maintain the health and safety of all students
Maintain a fun, safe, clean and inviting classroom
Maintain developmental portfolios for each child
The right person will have experience working with young children in a center setting. Pay will be based on experience and education.

Job Type: Full-time

4 day work week! Tuesday - Friday, 10 hour shifts (can be less than 10 hours if desired)

Salary: $13.00 to $15.00 /hour

Dear friends and families at MaineLy Childcare,

Thank you so much for helping make the Preschool Class’ lemonade stand a success this week. The kids were so thrilled to have so many customers. Your patience as they worked together taking orders, pouring cups of lemonade and making change was greatly appreciated. Before preschool graduation, the preschool class spent days brainstorming all sorts of special days they wanted to have during the summer. We called it our “Summer Wish List”. Throughout the summer, we have been making our way through the whole list. When we finally made it to our Lemonade Stand Week, there was lots of talk about what to do with the money we raised. Since our class had been making our summer wishes come true, we decided to help make other children’s wishes come true by raising money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. We had a goal of $200. But with the support of our MaineLy Childcare family and community, WE DOUBLED OUR GOAL! That’s right, we made $400 to donate to the Make-A-Wish Foundation! Thank you again to everyone who came by for a cup or donated. It truly meant so much to the entire class. To quote a preschooler this week, “when we work together, wishes come true everywhere!”

We are looking for someone to take over our younger Waddler group. This classroom is working on a typical daycare schedule. They are working towards taking 1 nap a day after lunch and follow a more structured routine that includes circle time, structured gross motor, creative arts, and dramatic play during the day.

There is 4-5 children in the classroom. You will be expected to work solo, and will have the chance to collaborate with our other Waddler teacher.
