The Coach Brian Wroten era begins with “A KICK”.

The entire South Point community should be proud of this football team!! The amount of resiliency, grit and determination that the boys displayed tonight was amazing.

Eastern Pike entered tonight’s game on a 32 game regular season winning streak (They last lost a regular season game in October of 2022).

Congratulations to the South Point High School football team on their come from behind, last second victory!! A shoutout to Ezra “The Toe” Young on the game winning 36 yard field goal to cap the 30-27 victory.

Join us next week at Alumni Stadium for our first home game of the season vs Racine Southern. Kick-off at 7:00pm 💛💙💛💙💛💙💛💙

South Point High School welcomes Colonel Jim Schnell to be the instructor of our new Air Force Jr ROTC program. Colonel Schnell is from Gahanna, Ohio (suburb of Columbus) where he was born and raised. His military career was spent in the intelligence career field and special operations. Colonel Schnell’s primary assignment was as an Assistant Air Force Attache at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, China. As a civilian he completed a Ph.D. at Ohio University and taught at Ohio State University, University of Cincinnati, Miami University and Cleveland State University. Schnell completed four Fulbright Scholar assignments to Cambodia, Myanmar, Kosovo and West Africa. He is a lifelong learner. In May, 2025 he completed his Master of Divinity degree at the Methodist Theological School in Ohio. He is the proud father of Brian Schnell—who now lives in Los Angeles where he’s honing his skills as a drummer. Jim looks forward to working with South Point High School students and is excited to be part of the South Point community. 💛💙
