For the first time in its history, SPEF expects to provide more than $1 million in support to the South Pasadena Unified School District. Our non-profit organization is composed of a small staff and a group of community parents representing all five public schools.

⚠️ ATTENTION SPEF SUMMER SCHOOL FAMILIES AT MARENGO (K-4 site) ⚠️

🎒 The safety of our students and neighbors is our top priority.🚶

🧡 RESPECT OUR NEIGHBORS ON MARENGO AVE AND STRATFORD AVE 🧡

Our neighbors on Marengo Ave and Stratford Ave have high schoolers trying to get to school and individuals trying to get to work.

Do not block their driveways when parking your car. ALSO—if a neighbor is trying to back out of their driveway when traffic is at a slow crawl, please be courteous and let them out! 

STRATFORD AVE DROP OFF:

👍🏼 Abide by the speed limit.

👍🏼 Park in a curb spot before letting your children out of the car.

👍🏼 Walk your children across the street if you park on the east side of Stratford Ave.

👍🏼 Steer clear of ALL driveways (including the Stratford gate driveway)

👎🏼Please do not block our neighbors’ driveways.

👎🏼 No double parking

South Pas Active Streets helps students cruise to SPEF Summer School every Tuesday. Our volunteers bike along with big and little cyclists so they get to their destination safely and with big smiles!

Check out SPEF Summer School’s Oceanography K-1 class with Mrs.Johnson and Mrs. Wilson.

Here are this week’s topics:

• Oceanography- 🦀 crabs, 🦈 sharks, seahorses, and 🪼jellyfish

• Zoology- 🐒 monkeys, 🐆 cheetahs, 🦁 lions, and 🦓 zebras

In our painting and drawing class we will be making 🚤 shape boats, 🤖 robots, 🐠 fishbowls, 🦒 giraffes, and 🦅 eagles.
