Sometimes life burns us down before we learn how powerful we truly are.

Phoenix Rising is a guided visualization meditation for anyone who is feeling emotionally exhausted, overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or moving through a difficult season of life.

This meditation is about transformation.
About resilience.
About reconnecting with the fire inside you that never truly disappeared.

You are not falling apart.
You are rising.

Why Relapse Starts Before the First Drink 06/02/2026

Relapse rarely begins with the first drink.

It often begins much earlier:

isolation
emotional exhaustion
shame
abandoning healthy routines
telling yourself you’re “fine”
disconnecting from support

In this video, I talk about the hidden stages of relapse and why awareness matters long before the behavior itself.

If you’re in recovery - or love someone who is - I hope this helps.

The Relapse Prevention Workbook: A Compassion-Based Approach to Lasting Sobriety 06/02/2026

After years of work, it’s finally here. 🎉

Today, *The Relapse Prevention Workbook* officially launches on Amazon.

What began years ago as part of my doctoral research slowly evolved into the most comprehensive recovery workbook I’ve ever created. This book is deeply rooted in both clinical experience and compassion, combining evidence-based tools, guided exercises, mindfulness practices, reflection prompts, relapse prevention strategies, group exercises, and a full 30-Day Resilience Practice.

While the workbook focuses on substance recovery, the tools can also support people struggling with many compulsive behaviors, emotional patterns, anxiety, shame, and the challenge of creating lasting change.

This is probably the book I am most proud of because I truly believe it can help people.

Recovery changes everything. And healing becomes possible when we begin building mental, emotional, and spiritual resilience one day at a time.

Thank you to everyone who has supported my work, my books, my videos, and this mission over the years. Your encouragement means more than you know. 💚

The Black Sheep Myth: Why You Aren't the Problem 05/28/2026

Have you ever felt like the “black sheep” in your family?

For many people in addiction recovery and mental health healing, one of the deepest wounds isn’t just what they struggled with… it’s the identity they were given because of it.

The difficult one.
The disappointment.
The problem.

In this new video, I talk about:
• shame and family roles
• healing identity wounds
• breaking free from old labels
• and learning how to redefine yourself in recovery

Sometimes the “black sheep” becomes the cycle breaker.

If this resonates with you, I hope you’ll watch and share. 💚

When your mind keeps going back to the same thought…

It’s exhausting.

Not because you want to think about it, but because your mind keeps pulling you back into it.

You replay it.
Analyze it.
Try to solve it.

But sometimes healing begins when you stop fighting the thought
and start allowing yourself to exist alongside the uncertainty.

You do not have to figure everything out right now.

And remember… be gentle with yourself today. 🤍

When you feel like you’re too much…

Too emotional.
Too sensitive.
Too needy.
Too overwhelmed.

But healing is not about shrinking yourself to make other people comfortable.

You are allowed to take up space.

You are allowed to feel deeply.

And you are worthy of compassion exactly as you are.

And remember… be gentle with yourself today 🤍

Don’t turn back now.
Healing is hard because growth asks us to keep going even when we can’t fully see the progress yet.

There are moments in recovery, anxiety, grief, or emotional healing where it feels easier to return to old patterns simply because they’re familiar.

But familiar doesn’t always mean healthy.

The fact that this season feels uncomfortable may actually mean you’re changing.

Keep going.

Your future self will be grateful you did. 🤍

And remember… be gentle with yourself today.

You might be more emotionally drained than you realize…

Not everything shows up as burnout.

Sometimes it’s overthinking.

Sometimes it’s feeling numb.

Sometimes it’s just being tired in a way that sleep doesn’t fix.

If that’s where you are right now...pause.

You don’t have to push through everything.

And remember… be gentle with yourself today. 🤍
